Winery Background Moppity Vineyards is run by Jason and Alecia Brown in the Hilltops and Tumbarumba regions of New South Wales. The Lock amp Key range delivers well-crafted sparkling wines with clarity and freshness at great value. Vineyards and Vintage Conditions Fruit is sourced from cool hilltop vineyards in Tumbarumba and Hilltops. The combination of warm days and cool nights preserves natural acidity while allowing citrus and stone fruit character to develop. Although labelled non-vintage, the 2023 release continues this style of bright, consistent expression.. Winemaking Process Secondary fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to generate fine bubbles and preserve purity. After resting on lees the wine is filtered, stabilised and bottled as a 750 ml sparkling sealed with crown cap. This method ensures freshness, structure and drinkability. Tasting Notes Aroma presents brioche and citrus blossom. On the palate look for crisp green apple, lemon zest and gentle spice. The texture is smooth and creamy yet backed by bright acidity. The finish is long, lively and refreshing, offering more structure than might be expected at this price point.
